Sunshine Ball

September 22nd at Osmaston Park

By kind permission of Sir Andrew and Lady Philippa Walker-Okeover, our patron, we held our first fundraising ball in the fabulous marquee at Osmaston Park on 22 September 2017.

Guests at this ‘Black Tie’ event enjoyed a drinks reception, kindly sponsored by Project 7 and Upper Crust Caterers, with entertainment provided by the amazing Tom Wright, close up magician.

This was followed by a delicious three course dinner and fundraising auction with TV Auctioneer Charles Hanson (Bargain Hunt, Flog It!, The Antiques Road Trip and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip) who kindly agreed to be our auctioneer.

Guests were entertained at their tables by Tom Wright, and danced the night away to the brilliant music of ‘The Different Lights’ from Liverpool.

We raised the fantastic sum of £12,000 to help us raise much needed funds to carry on our work with children and young people.  Thank you so much to everyone who came along to support the event, and to all the companies and individuals who donated cash, auction and raffle prizes, services, time and expertise.

We are always in need of support with our events – perhaps you can donate an auction lot or raffle prize for the Ball, or sponsor an element of the Ball e.g. the drinks reception, flowers, etc.  Alternatively could you help promote events for us, or offer professional services at no cost or for reduced rates (e.g. printing, catering etc).  Or maybe you could save us your unwanted nearly new clothes, books and bric-a-brac for us to sell at our Summer Fete next year, or at our regular Ladies Nights?  If you can help in any way please contact us, we would love to hear from you.
